Wonderthing Studios is proud to announce a new partnership with The Ed Greenwood Group (TEGG) and the formation of TEGG Audio and Music to expand their creations into the realms of audio entertainment. Leveraging our experience in all aspects of audio storytelling, we will be introducing a wide array of vocal and performance productions firmly rooted in the diverse story worlds being fostered by TEGG.

Fans of Ed Greenwood’s storytelling creations will now be able to enjoy those stories as “Theater of the Mind” with everything from short story narrations to full audio drama productions. Our excitement over these creations is shared by Greenwood. “This partnership is going to be very cool…In just the few creative chats I’ve had with Dave and his delightful wife Teri I think the fans are going to be blown away by what the Robisons are planning to do for them.”

Throughout his long career, Greenwood has always been a tireless supporter of creatives and their work, and this new storytelling format aligns perfectly with his objectives. “Many of my novelists are thrilled at the idea of being able to continue their stories in multiple formats; especially audio…they are already forming groups to discuss new adventures that will start as original audio works. It’s like a painter being given a whole new set of colours to paint with and then adding music. This partnership is very exciting.”

Development has already begun on an anthology of original audio dramas set in the latest TEGG story world, Hellmaw, an urban fantasy setting where daemons have quietly infested our world, preying upon the human population. Tentatively scheduled for a February release, this series is only one of many audio productions in the works to expand the TEGG worlds into the ears and minds of listeners world-wide.

In addition, Wonderthing will be working with TEGG authors to adapt some of their works into full-cast narrations and others into full audio drama productions and creatives from around the world will participate in the creation of scripts, music, sound effects, and vocal performance. The result will be a creative collaboration of epic proportions that will entertain readers for years to come and push the boundaries of the storytelling experience.

The Ed Greenwood Group, a new transmedia publishing company from the creator of the Forgotten Realms®, launches 31st October, 2015. The first novel, Your World Is Doomed! is a brand-new Ed Greenwood title and the first novel in a new urban fantasy setting called Hellmaw—6 story arcs, 85 novels, more than 150 short works plus games and Artifacts. Next year (2016) will see the launch of a more traditional sword-and-sorcery setting code-named Pony Island Adventures; novels based in the universe created for the board game Folklore: The Affliction and — TEGG’s role playing and mini game division headed by the redoubtable Steven E. Schend. More settings in more genres will follow over the next ten years—For Wolf & Empire (steampunk), Lost Princesses of Mars (space opera), and In So Deep (sex fantasy), to name only a few.
